About
My journey in becoming a psychotherapist began with the completion of a Foundation Certificate in Counselling and Psychotherapy with Galway Counselling Studies in 2012. Prior to working as a psychotherapist, I had a rewarding and successful career as a senior local government administrator in Galway City. In 2018, I successfully completed a four year training in Tracht Psychotherapy Foundation in Kinvara, Co. Galway and received a Higher Diploma in Biodynamic and Integrative Psychotherapy. In 2019, I completed the specialised training in the Galway Rape Crisis Centre: ‘Working with Sexual Violence and Aggression,’ and continue to work in the GRCC supporting women and men, who have suffered sexual trauma and other forms of sexual violence including child sexual abuse. My primary areas of interest and expertise include: working with anxiety and stress; exploring and healing trauma; and building and maintaining healthy inter-personal relationships.
I am a fully accredited Member of the Irish Association of Humanistic & Integrative Psychotherapy (IAHIP) the Irish
Council for Psychotherapy (ICP) and the Irish Association for Body Psychotherapy (IABP).
